I have adventured it and found nothing but sugar and violence. It is most charming - Emma Stone, as Bella Baxter
Yet another podcast from ReidsonFilm and this time we are talking about the latest film from Yorgos Lanthimos: Poor Things, a tale of Frankenstein, freedom, and furious jumping.
Based on the 1992 novel by the Glaswegian artist, writer, and all round visionary, Alasdair Gray, Poor Things has generated a tsunami of media chatter because of its portrayal of female sexual liberation, graphic sex scenes, and change of location from the book (the film isn’t set in Glasgow).
But at ReidsonFilm we are all about the film, so tune in, buckle up and get ready for a sober panel discussion that takes in Mary Shelley, fisheye lenses, and of course, Wilhelm Reich and his notorious orgone accumulator.
And do listen out for the post-credits bonus content.
